I bought from Ebay a few months back for $8 a beautiful, flexible bonded leather NRSV called the Spiritual Formation Bible, nice print with good spacing between the lines, easy to read, ( I'm 73). No Apocraphya, but has gilded edges all way round. It does have side notes in a separate column on the outer edge of each page that I dislike but I just ignore them (They are little homilies somebody came up with and they pertain to the scriptural text, but are not scholarly at all.) The bible has a nice weight, and feels expensive, with a rich brown bonded leather. Published in 1999 by Zondervan. You might check out Ebab. JIM

This is just another sign of the end times, crazy thinking. I was born in the late 60's and I remember things were still like you're describing when I was a kid. You're right about everything you said, but the devil has gotten a hold of many of us, and we're not all thinking clearly. Its been a slow mindset transition. Look who's in the white-house. Now tell me most of us haven't lost our minds!
