If you have been reading my blog carefully, you know from reading the comments that we didn’t go to Rochester last Tuesday, due to concerns about the weather. If you haven’t been reading carefully, and a lot of us don’t, we didn’t go to Rochester last Tuesday, due to concerns about the weather. 😉
Anyway, here is the announcement: Tomorrow is the Day!
Wednesday morning, Lord willing, we will arise at 3:00 am, make a pot of coffee, shave and throw our clothes on and take off for our dear friend Evelyn’s place by 4:15. (Don’t forget the coffee!) From there we will head out on the highway towards the eastern horizon, driving towards Rochester, MN and the world famous Mayo Clinic, where our dear friend Evelyn has an appointment at 7:15 am for a biopsy and some other tests.
Southern Minnesota received a couple inches of light, fluffy snow yesterday afternoon and last night, but by tomorrow morning the highways should be clear and dry, and at 4:30 the traffic should be light, as long as the deer aren’t too active. Of course, at the expected 5 degrees tomorrow morning the deer should be all huddled together in the woods somewhere trying to stay warm and not out playing chicken with the cars on the highway!
So anyway, I will really appreciate your prayers that I can stay awake at that hour as we cruise east, that the car works fine, but more importantly that our dear friend Evelyn gets a good report at the Mayo Clinic!
