I finished my study a couple days ago of the books of Job and Ecclesiastes and decided to turn to the book of Revelation, since I hadn’t read it in a while. I am currently using my NIV Study Bible, the 2002 version.

I turned to chapter 2, the letters to the churches, and suddenly my eyes were accosted by a sea of pinkish-red ink. By the time I was done reading chapter 2 I could barely see!

Why, oh why don’t the Bible publishers stop printing red-letter Bibles as their default? Give the people who like red letters what they want, but please, please make the black letter Bibles the standard Bible. Those awful pinkish-red letters are too hard on the eyes!

I sure hope the publishers make black-letter versions of the 2011 NIV available!
